Disclaimer

Effective August 13, 2026

LedgerPDF is a workpaper tool. It helps a person prepare and review a binder; it does not replace the person responsible for the engagement.

Software, not professional services

LedgerPDF is not accounting, tax, legal, investment, audit, assurance, information-security, or other professional advice or services. Using it does not create a CPA-client, accountant-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship with Ledger Labs LLC or a contributor.

Review and workpaper limits

The Review Center, preflight checks, page statuses, source coverage, connectors, marks, tapes, bookmarks, OCR, and similar features are review aids. They do not establish that a binder is complete, accurate, compliant, audit-ready, or appropriate for a particular purpose. “0 open” means only that LedgerPDF found no unresolved item of the types it knows how to track. It is not an assurance conclusion or human sign-off.

PDF viewers, printers, conversion tools, and source formats can interpret content differently. Inspect the actual file you will retain or send.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for having authority to use the documents and client information you provide; verifying source documents, conversions, OCR, calculations, marks, tapes, links, agent work, and exports; supervising the work; and applying your firm’s access, retention, backup, recovery, encryption, and disposal controls. Maintain independent backups. LedgerPDF is alpha software and must not be the only copy of an engagement record.

AI agents

Agent-generated work can be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate. Attribution, journals, undo, folder boundaries, local live access, and locks reduce particular risks; they do not make the work correct or replace human supervision.

LedgerPDF itself makes no application network calls. An MCP client is a separate program, however, and a hosted AI provider may receive document text, OCR, cell values, filenames, and other content the client receives. Review your provider, consent, privacy, vendor, and professional obligations before approving a client folder.

Security and third parties

Local storage, path controls, token-authenticated local connections, signing, and notarization reduce specific risks. They do not guarantee error-free operation, security against every threat, continuous availability, or compatibility with every file. LedgerPDF does not encrypt binder files, provide firm-wide role-based access control, or maintain an immutable audit log.

No warranty; limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LedgerPDF, its official builds, documentation, and website are provided “AS IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ledger Labs LLC and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, business, or professional opportunity. Nothing excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
